Dear family and friends,
I joined the Arthritis Society back on February 2, 2020 and since then I have had the privilege to experience the resilience and strength of the Arthritis Society community, especially during these challenging times.
Arthritis is a disease that affects over 6 million people, which includes many of my family members and friends, including my husband and I. Unfortunately with no cure in sight, these numbers are only going to increase. By 2035, 1 in 4 Canadians will have arthritis, as a conservative estimate, this could be more than 10.5 million people. That means you, your partner, your parent, or your sibling just may have or may at some point suffer with the pain of arthritis. As the prevalence of arthritis increases, so does the demand for investment into cutting-edge research, proactive advocacy and innovative information and support that will deliver better health outcomes for people affected by arthritis. Hence the reason why this year I am challenging myself to “WALK 100kms for Arthritis” beginning on September 1 through to September 30th.
Please join me in helping to create a world where people are free from the devastating effects that arthritis has on lives. Make a donation to my Move Your Way fundraising page today!
Thank you from my family and those affected by Arthritis.
