Please support the Arthritis Society and our team!
We are walking because there is no cure for arthritis – a painful and devastating disease. Maddie was diagnosed with juvenile idiopathic arthritis when she was 2 years old. Over the last 13 years, with the help of great doctors, she has had lots of success managing her symptoms to have far more good days than bad because of JIA. The doctors know so much more about this disease now than they did 13 years ago because of research and education.
Maddie named the team Blacks' Plague this year because arthritis is a plague affecting more than just her in our family. Maddie's Papa, grandmas and dad are also affected but they are all deteremined not to let arthritis stop them!
If you are able to join us on the walk to raise awareness we will have a great time, if you are unable to come and walk with us please consider helping the arthritis society continue to fund research by donating to Blacks' Plague.
Today, more than 6 million Canadians are affected by arthritis. These numbers are only going to increase. By 2035, 1 in 4 Canadians will have arthritis. That means you or your wife, your mother or your brother just may have arthritis.
As the prevalence of arthritis increases, so does the demand for investment into cutting-edge research, proactive advocacy and innovative solutions that will deliver better health outcomes for people affected by arthritis.
Please make a donation to support this important cause.
