Meet Matthew. Diagnosed with Polyarticular Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis at 15 months, Matthew has experienced the pain of arthritis in nearly every joint in his body, and has suffered from inflammation of the eyes (uveitis) since age 4. Matthew has never experienced remission and he continues to fight daily against this debilitating disease. Despite his challenges, he keeps moving forward and inspires those he meets with his hope, positive attitude and determination. Now 14, his wish is to increase awareness of childhood arthritis, and help raise funds for research to find effective treatments for arthritis.
You can help Matthew's wish come true by supporting The Arthritis Society and our team!
On Sunday, June 3, 2018, our team is participating in the Walk to Fight Arthritis. We're walking and raising funds to help find a cure and support the over 6 million Canadians who live with the pain of arthritis. These numbers are only going to increase. By 2035, 1 in 4 Canadians will have arthritis. That means you or your wife, your mother or your brother just may have arthritis.
You can make a difference in their lives by making a donation to support investment into cutting-edge research, proactive advocacy and innovative solutions that will deliver better health outcomes for people affected by arthritis. Together, with your support, we can reach our fundraising goal for this very important cause.
Thank you so much!
