Walk for Arthritis, Mississauga

Jackie's Helping Hands

Please support the Arthritis Society and our team!

Team Jackie's Helping Hands is committed to supporting the Arthritis Society as we have seen first hand how arthritis can significantly impact a person's function, quality of life and family. Jackie has had rheumatoid arthritis for over 20 years now. Her disease and pain are fairly well controlled now but there have certainly been sacrifices made and physical changes that require adaptation.

With the strength and support of friends, family, her health care team and programs from the Arthritis Society - Jackie has overcome many of the challenges that accompany RA.

As a family, we are thankful for all of the many things we are still able to do together and feel it is important to give back to help others who are suffering with this disease. So, we walk. We walk because there is no cure for arthritis – a painful and devastating disease.

Today, more than 6 million Canadians are affected by arthritis. Unfortunately that number continues to grow. As the prevalence of arthritis increases, so does the demand for investment into cutting-edge research, proactive advocacy and innovative solutions that will deliver better health outcomes for people affected by arthritis.

Our team last year won the award for Highest Fundraising Team with over $3000 raised! Please help us achieve that goal again by making a generous donation to support this very personal and important cause.

Thank you.
