Ever heard of Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis? Neither had we!!
Like us, you may have thought arthritis only affects adults and the elderly, but sadly, 3 in 1000 Canadian children and teenagers are affected by JIA, and there’s no known cure.
Symptoms of JIA include swelling, pain, stiffness and decreased range of motion in one or many joints. Symptoms can be mild, moderate or severe and may remain constant and unchanging for long durations, or progress and get worse over time.
These symptoms cause chronic pain and an inability to do daily activities like walking or climbing. Left untreated, JIA can cause permanent, debilitating joint damage.
Please support us in our Walk for Arthritis and help find a cure for this painful and devastating disease. You can help by choosing one or all of the following;
1 - Join our team or register your own team and Walk for Arthritis
2 - Donate to our team to help us meet our fundraising goal
3 - Share this page to spread the word!!
Thank you all for your help and support!!
