There is no cure for arthritis! This painful and devastating disease put its grip on my Mother several years ago and has slowly robbed her of the thrill to dance, the independance of walking a few blocks to go shopping, of the dignity to prepare her own meals and the pleasures of writing or other basic tactile tasks, not to mention the excruciating pain she endures every day with no where to turn but more pain medication. My wife Leslie too, is now experiencing early symptoms of arthritis.
This is why I am participating in the Walk for Arthritis in Campbell River on June 2nd, 2018.
Today, more than 6 million Canadians are affected by arthritis. These numbers are only going to increase. By 2035, 1 in 4 Canadians will have arthritis. That means you or your wife, your mother or your brother just may have arthritis.
As the prevalence of arthritis increases, so does the demand for investment into cutting-edge research, proactive advocacy and innovative solutions that will deliver better health outcomes for people affected by arthritis.
Please join me in supporting this important cause and working toward a cure and improved treatments for this debilitating disease.
