Joshua has been suffering with Scleroderma, which is a painful and debilitating form of Juvenile Arthritis . Joshua wants raise awareness that kids get arthritis too!!
About 3 in 1000 children have arthritis. It has impacted Joshua’s mobility, his ability to attend school and participate in activities. He often suffers in silence. Joshua has a Pediatric Rheumatology Team including doctors, nurse, physiotherapist , occupational Therapist & Social Work. He has been hospitalized for pain management & continues to receive weekly injections in hopes of remission along with pain management therapy. He loves swimming, tennis , basketball & hanging with his friends. Joshua is eager to get moving!!
His hope is that all children have access to cutting-edge research, proactive advocacy and innovative information and support that will deliver better health outcomes to children affected by arthritis in a timely manner to prevent further damage.
