Thank you for stopping by the page; I hope you will consider supporting our team for the Walk for Arthritis - or joining us if you are so inclined! Supporting arthritis research and programs is very important to me, as I have experienced how limiting and painful the disease can be, and how invaluable support teams and research programs are. There are so many questions about treatment, rehabilitation, medication, surgery, genetics, etc, that are yet to be answered, and I hope this year to get a great group together to fundraise to help find those answers.
Whether or not donation support or joining the walk may be in the cards for you this year, I hope you will consider following the Arthritis society on social media, learning about what kinds are out there and how you can understand and help those who are affected. It means so much to do so, to show support for the ones you love.
Thanks so much, and I hope to see you out there!
(SEE BELOW MESSAGE FROM THE ARTHRITIS SOCIETY):
There is no cure for arthritis – a painful and devastating disease - that is why I am participating in the Walk for Arthritis.
Today, more than 6 million Canadians are affected by arthritis. These numbers are only going to increase. By 2035, 1 in 4 Canadians will have arthritis. That means you or your wife, your mother or your brother just may have arthritis.
As the prevalence of arthritis increases, so does the demand for investment into cutting-edge research, proactive advocacy and innovative information and support that will deliver better health outcomes for people affected by arthritis.
This year the Walk for Arthritis is celebrating its 10th year - help make this the best year ever by joining the Walk for Arthritis community and supporting this important cause!
