There is no cure for arthritis – a painful and devastating disease - that is why I am participating in the Walk for Arthritis.
I'm walking to fight arthritis on Sunday, June 2. You can join me if you are in Halifax that day. Or you could make a donation to support me virtually.
You may know my mom, Barbara Snyder, lived with arthritis for decades, but it didn't stop her from doing most things she wanted to do. Eventually it would slow her down, but she continued her volunteering, and was a great fundraiser for arthritis research. Walking is the least I can do. And you can help too! Visit my participant page to make a contribution.
More than 6 million Canadians are affected by arthritis, including me. These numbers are only going to increase. By 2035, 1 in 4 Canadians will have arthritis. As the prevalence of arthritis increases, so does the demand for investment into cutting-edge research, proactive advocacy and innovative solutions that will deliver better health outcomes for people affected by arthritis.
Please join me in supporting this important cause.
